National Highway 34 or NH 34 runs from Dum Dum in north Kolkata to Dalkhola, where it meets NH 31, which connects it to Siliguri, several towns in north Bengal and the North-East. It is the main link of the districts of North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Murshidabad, Malda, and Uttar Dinajpur with the state capital, as well as north Bengal and the North-East. It meets Belghoria Expressway connecting it to NH 2 near Sarat Colony, NH 35 at Barasat, the Panagarh;Morgram Highway at Morgram, NH 81 at Ingraj Bazar and NH 80 at Farakka. Total length of NH 34 is . ==Forest areas== Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary and Raiganj Wildlife Sanctuary are located near NH 34.
